Students prepare for Internal ARTiculation Heat

Students Prepare for Internal ARTiculation Prize Heat During SAATCHI Gallery Workshop

Three Rivers Academy students made some fantastic contributions during a recent workshop held at the Saatchi Gallery, London. The workshop was run as a way of introducing students to the ARTiculation competition and in order to get them to practice articulating their responses to works of art. Hosted by the Roche Court Educational Trust’s Francesca Wilson and the Saatchi Head of Education - Nadine Wright, the evening presented our students with a range of thought provoking artwork. The event also introduced our students to others from schools around London who will be entering the competition. Jade Harding, Elena Male, Alex West and Lana Robinson all made mature, thought-provoking contributions during the evening. Their delivery was confident and composed and was great practice for the upcoming internal heat.  In what is hopefully becoming a tradition, the students then went on to enjoy a pizza with Mr Berriman before returning to Walton-on-Thames. Well done to all; thanks for the lovely company and thanks for the deep discussions about Rick & Morty (!). We look forward to seeing the students’ talks during the first part of the ARTiculation competition this Wednesday.

So - come to the 6th Form Meeting Room at 3.30pm on Wednesday 29th November to watch this years’ ARTiculation Internal Heat and to see which student will progress to the second round!
