Religious Studies

Our Curriculum Intent

The Religious Studies department will bring out the best by encouraging students to become philosophers of the world as they analyse and evaluate issues of faith, truth, and ethics. Religious Studies offers a range of opportunities which encourage students to stretch their imagination and develop their confidence as they master transferable life skills such as critical thinking, debate, evaluation and analysis.
Students will develop these skills through learning from different religions, values and traditions whilst exploring their own beliefs. Students will develop their ability to see the value of their own views whilst respecting the perspectives of others. Through this, students will be more equipped to understand and navigate the multicultural society in which we live.
