Communicating with Three Rivers Academy
At Three Rivers Academy it is important that we communicate different types of information, unfortunately, there isn’t one system that does everything we need! The table below summarises the key means of communication at Three Rivers Academy and how you can access it, if you need it.

Talaxy |
Talaxy is the main port of call for information about your child’s education. You can monitor the following: • Attendance, lesson by lesson • Achievement and behaviour • Detentions set • Timetables and classes • Email announcements – this includes year group and whole school communication emails |

Teams |
Microsoft Teams is used by students for homework. Homework is set as an ‘assignment’. Class teachers can use Teams to send emails to parents when an assignment is overdue. Please note that if an assignment is marked as ‘turned in’, this is generated by the student, not the teacher. |

Announcements – this includes whole school, year group communications, messages from teachers and any other updates. |

Website |
All general letters which are sent out via Talaxy are also saved on our website. Exceptional and/or emergency announcements (e.g. unforeseen school closure) are displayed on the website as an emergency alert. |

ScoPay |
Online payments for trips, food purchases in school and other costs. |

This is our Parents’ Evening platform. Links for the parent consultation are specific to the event, therefore are issued via email prior to the event taking place. |

Newsletter |
Published via Talaxy twice every half-term to share essential information with families. This is also saved on our website. |

We use Facebook and Instagram for informal updates so please follow us if you can. All important communications on social media are also shared via email as we appreciate that not all families use social media. |
